Vichy Purete Thermale Eye Make-up Remover Review
My husband gave me Vichy Purete Thermale Eye Make-up Remover as a gift. I have used it for some time and would like to share my opinion about it.
I have this product in an old bottle. Vichy has changed its look recently, and now it is in a greenish bottle. Mine is in a blue one.
There are 5.1 ounces (150 ml). The product is made in France. It has no color, and it has a light, fresh smell that reminds me of a rose. The smell is not strong and not annoying.
Vichy Purete Thermale Eye Make-up Remover works really well and removes makeup fast. It does not irritate the skin around my somewhat sensitive eyes, instead leaving my skin smooth and moisturized. It is not oily, greasy, or soapy; rather, its texture is more like water. In fact, the package states that its ph is balanced and that it is suitable for sensitive eyes. When I shake it, there are some bubbles. You can see it on the photo. The product is pretty economical as I do not need a lot of it to remove makeup.
How I use it
I take a cotton pad and apply several drops of the product on it. Then, I put the cotton pad on my eyes for about 30 seconds to let the liquid dissolve the makeup. After that, I carefully pat my eyes. If I wear only mascara, I use only one cotton pad to remove it from both eyes. I do not rinse the product.
To show how Vichy Purete Thermale Eye Make-up Remover works, I put on my hand mascara and eye pencil. Then I removed the makeup with the makeup remover. As you can see from the photo, it did its job well. It does not work with waterproof products, though.
I would give it 9 out of 10. It is a great product, but it is pricey: $17. I like it, and I will buy it again.
