NYX Powder Blush Review. Swatches: Flamingo.
Hi. My review is about NYX Powder Blush in Flamingo color. I was looking for some cheap pink blush with blue undertone. I think that this color makes your face look fresh and young.
NYX powder blush caught my eye. The blush was really cheap, and I decided to buy it over the Internet. It’s a pressed powder blush. NYX says that “the formula is richly-pigmented and lasts for hours.”
If you are interested in other blush, I may recommend you one from Bobbi Brown. I’ve written a review about it.
The box is made of thin plastic, so I assume that it may break easily if you drop it or carry it in your purse. I keep mine at home, and it’s OK.
There are 4 grams (0.14 oz) of blush. It is cruelty free and can last for 18 months from the date you open it. The blush is made in China.
NYX blush has no shimmer, and it’s great because sometimes it’s difficult to find a blush like that. If I want glow, I add a bit of highlighter, but I want my cheeks to stay matte.
NYX powder blush is not dusty which is good. On my combo skin the color stays all day.
The color is beautiful. It’s cold pink with a blue undertone, but on my face it doesn’t have this blue undertone and looks warmer. It may be because I apply it on foundation or because of the color of my skin. My cheeks have natural blush that is pinkish red. This Flamingo color still looks natural on me.
I noticed that NYX powder blush is not pigmented well, and when you apply it on your face you need several layers for the color to be seen. If you apply blush a few times, it may look uneven on your face. It’s also a bit dry.
For my swatches I have several layers of the blush to make the color brighter.
8/10. I took off two points because the color is not well pigmented and because it may be uneven. Otherwise, NYX powder blush is a good product, especially considering its price. I will buy it in other colors. NYX has many shades of this blush including well known taupe.
If you are looking for a blush that is perfect and has the same shade, I’d recommend Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder blush in obsessed color. This blush is very beautiful, and it is pigmented well. I tested it, and it didn’t change its shade on my skin; it had a cold pink tone.
Do you have any blush from NYX? What do you think about this brand?
